Seems to be a common problem on W8 machines, but why haven’t Netgear bothered to fix or acknowledge it? I think I figured out where the issue is as I am having the same problem. Im running windows 8. I’m running Windows 8 Pro on an Asus Sabretooth fx. With the latest driver, I am able to go days without hiccups.
Asus sabertooth fx motherboard, amd fx eight core processor, 16gb ram, windows 8 pro x64 Msi ag54 motherboard, amd phenom x4 deneb black edition quad core, 8gb ram, windows 8 pro x Foul language is NOT allowed. I have a custom built computer and its somewhat fast.
Should I go to a different wireless adapter? If your computer is booting that fast then I assume it is going into standby. Could be something in the power settings of the laptop and windows.
